Found Time

I have a morning routine that serves me well. I wake up. I meditate, exercise, and learn something new. It’s the same routine that Jack Canfield calls the power hour. It typically starts at 6:00 am, and when I adhere to this routine, my day runs smoothly.

But, what happens when someone cancels a meeting, or I find myself with extra time? Since I’ve already meditated, do I need to meditate again? Do I check another task off my To Do List?

What do you do with your found time… when you have an appointment cancel or you find yourself with a few extra minutes?

Honestly, I typically do meditate… again. I take those few moments to focus on breathing deeply, centering my body, and allowing myself to take the time to feel peace wash over me.

Meditation during these found moments is my way of making the whole world a place that is better, safer, and happier – a peaceful place.

You might be thinking that meditating doesn’t change the world, and certainly does not it make it a better place. How could it possibly help the world be more peaceful just because I am meditating?

Think about it. What would happen if everyone you know took those 10-to-30 found minutes in a day and stopped to focus on their breathing, center their bodies, and allow themselves to be fully present?

Would the world be a better place?

I welcome you to consider trying it the next time you come across found time in your schedule.

Let me know how it goes!
